Separating truth from fiction for breaking news in Malawi

iVerify’s mission is to empower voters with verified and reliable information, fostering a transparent electoral process and a well-informed electorate.

WHAT WE DO

We check facts, not opinions.

iVerify is a Fact-Checking initiative of MISA Malawi in Lilongwe, Malawi. MISA Malawi is implementing iVerify with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). We have an independent team of experts in media, law and information technology working to protect the integrity of information by exposing and debunking false information. As an advocacy body in media freedom, freedom of expression and access to information, MISA Malawi looks at misinformation and disinformation as a threat to effective participatory democracy.
